2021 Gomersal Wines Reserve Shiraz
2021 Gomersal Wines Reserve Shiraz
Fruit for our 2021 Reserve Shiraz was selected from quality low yielding Barossa Valley vineyards, fermented on skins for 10 days and then matured in a combination of new and aged American oak hogsheads for 22 months to add additional complexity and finesse.
Aromas of dark plum and chocolate combine perfectly with flavours of blackberry and liquorice to produce a balanced full bodied wine with structure and length.

94pts; “Gorgeously ripe and perfumed on the nose showing dark and purple fruit intensity, cedary oak, cocoa and warm spice aromas. The palate delivers excellent concentration and density, wonderfully complemented by fleshy texture and finely woven tannins. Powerful yet stylish with wonderful balance and structure.” - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
”Shiraz sourced from low-yielding vines with an average age of 20 years, aged in a combination of new and old American oak for 22 months. Bright dark plum and blackberry fruits, baking spice, licorice, dark chocolate and a whiff of mint. Smooth fruit entry with some red-fruit high tones and a shock of sappy oak that gradually retires back into the fruit.” - Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion
